Cobra 3D Printed Putters

Cobra 3D Printed Putters

When I first heard of Metal Jet 3D printing I must admit to having absolutely no idea what it was. As I tried to figure it out my mind took an exciting journey all the way from visions of strips of metal rolling out of a printer in 3D form, to huge transformers appearing as if by magic at the end of a printing jet. Sadly, neither of these turned out to be correct and Metal Jet 3D printing was, in fact, a revolutionary advancement in manufacturing that allowed for exciting and innovative designs to be created. This technique gives engineers greater adaptability in the design process and allows them to prototype, test and refine products far more quickly. Cobra Golf have never been shy of implementing exciting new technologies and, true to form, they immediately took full advantage of the Metal Jet 3D process by teaming up with HP and produced a range of putters that offered the golfer stunning aesthetics, and seriously impressive performance attributes.

The Cobra KING 3D putter ranges contain a head style to suit every style of stroke and they have proven to be immensely popular with golfers of all abilities due the amount of stroke stability they provide. This year the 3D putters are being released in a new, sleek black colourway which gives this incredible suite of putters even more aesthetic appeal whilst retaining all of the benefits from the 3D printed nylon lattice cartridge. The lattice structure optimises the weight distribution within the chassis of the putter and helps to deliver an extremely high M.O.I. design that massively improves stability and roll performance. This new range features putters from both the KING 3D Printed and KING Vintage Series along with some previously unreleased mallet styles, the KING Cuda and Cuda-40 and the KING Widesport. The Cuda is an attractive oversized mallet with a single bend hosel, the Cuda-40 has a short, slant hosel whilst the KING Widesport arrives as a double wide blade.

As is standard in the Cobra 3D putter line-up, all of the models use SIK Aluminium face inserts and features their Descending Loft Technology (D.L.T). This technology has been proven to produce consistent launch angles on every putt which leads to an extremely consistent and predictable roll. It is not possible to return the shaft angle at impact to the shaft angle at address with any kind of consistency. Sometimes the shaft will return to impact with more forward shaft lean and sometimes it will return with less, and both of these scenarios will dramatically affect the launch angle, quality of roll and distance control. SIK's D.L.T technology addresses this problem by milling four different loft planes into the face of each putter, which ensures that regardless of where the ball strikes the face, the launch angle produced will be the same on every single putt. Distance control is then massively improved, increasing your confidence and allowing you to hole more putts.

These magnificent putters are completed with a SuperStroke Traxion Tour 2.0 grip and a premium KBS Tour 120 Shaft. If you are looking for a putter that can deliver the ultimate in performance and stroke stability then we strongly recommend trying a Cobra 3D Printed Putter. Check out our full range below.
